What is Acupuncture? Acupuncture is an artform of sort; practitioners utilize tiny needles, much smaller than your typical needle for administering vaccines or drawing blood, placed strategically in the patient’s skin to address all sorts of conditions.
What conditions can be treated with Acupuncture? Acupuncture is most frequently utilized for pain relief and/or management. Many who live with chronic pain conditions, like Fibromyalgia, seek acupuncture as part of their multi-faceted approach to treatment. Other examples of commonly treated conditions include headaches/Migraines, ADHD, allergies, insomnia, menstrual cramps. Acupuncture can even be used to induce labor in a safe, non-invasive way without the use of medications/hormones.
Auriculotherapy, what does that have to do with Acupuncture? Auriculotherapy is a form of Acupuncture in which the external area of the ear, auricle, is stimulated to produce different physiological effects. Dr. Andrews utilizes Auriculotherapy to help patients with smoking cessation ie quitting smoking.
